HPI is an allied health training institution, for people with a High School Diploma or a GED, who have an interest in pursuing a career in the health service industry. The school is staffed by experienced instructors who are current in clinical practice with state license and certification in their area of expertise.
Course offered are; Surgical Technician, Medical Assistants, EKG Technicians, Phlebotomy Technicians and CPR Certification.
- Surgical Technicians are trained by to work in operating rooms assisting the surgeon, preparing sterile areas and suturing.
- Medical Assistants provide general assistance to the physician in patient examination, medication administration, billing, coding and laboratory testing.
- EKG Technicians perform electrocardiograms which record the electrical beating of the heart.
- Phlebotomy Technicians draw blood and perform different laboratory testing .
- CPR Certification teach students life saving skills of performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first aid.
HPI is fully bonded and is approved by the New Jersey Departments of Education, Labor and Workforce Development, the counseling staff work with students to transition from unemployment to skill acquisition and workforce readiness. |
